While under quarantine, Students are finding themselves stressed, bored and maybe even school sick. Looking for ways to keep themselves busy during this pandemic, many have turned to playing video games, binge-watching movies or television shows, painting, drawing or even cleaning out their closets.
Chief Engagement Officer, Mark McHorney is working with Student Affairs and the Programming board to help Benedictine students stay connected with other students and the campus through virtual events.
These virtual events included trivia nights, Eagle Pride Fridays, and a Fortnite Battle Royale Solo Mashup Tournament. Winners of these virtual events will receive E-gift cards to Amazon.
On Thrilling Thursday, April 2nd, at 7:30 pm, Kaite Buell, Assistant Director for Activities & Organizations, will be sending a link via email to students to play in the first virtual event, Trivia Night. Students are encouraged to post on social media with the hashtag #BUnited sporting all things BenU. A winner will be chosen every Friday starting on April 3rd through April 30th. Saturday, April 4th the Fortnite Battle Royale Solo Mashup tournament will begin at 6:00 pm. Students will be able to participate in this tournament by emailing Katie Buell to be placed into the seedings.
