Target Releases Expansion with Apple and Levi's

Announced today, Target will be expanding its attraction by doubling Apple’s footprint and partnering with Levi’s first Home Collection in stores and online in fall 2021.

With this new addition to Target stores, Apple will contribute to Target’s success along with its other partners, including Disney, Ulta Beauty, and Levi Strauss & Co. This big step will make Target the ultimate destination for the most sought-after national brands in addition to its usual owned brands. 

Target and Apple collaborated to enhance the experience for their customers, which offers more Apple products at Target stores and online. When on the Target website or app, consumers will find a dedicated Apple site that includes all of the new Apple accessories recently brought to Target. 

“Apple products are popular with Target’s guests, and this new, dedicated shopping experience offers enhanced service and expanded offerings, building on our strength as a go-to destination for electronics,” said Christina Hennington, executive vice president, and chief growth officer at Target.

The new space will have new lighting fixtures and displays for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV, and other Apple accessories. 

Target and Levi’s have worked together to compile a collection of durable items for the entire family with home, pet, apparel, and accessory items. As Levi’s first Home partnership they will be offering an assortment of features items such as tableware, quilts, pillows, and much more. The hopes of this partnership are to make guests feel comfortable during a time when they are spending the majority of their time at home. 

“We’re thrilled to be introducing our one-of-a-kind home collection with Target,” says Karyn Hillman, chief product officer, Levi’s.

 

Not only will Levi’s offer home goods are at Target but also new clothing such as the iconic Levi’s trucker jacket and sleepwear, along with pet apparel and accessories.

“These new models were created with Target’s guests in mind, and we’ll continue to learn and enhance the experience through future rollouts later this year, ” said Hennington.

In addition to these new buying experiences with Apple and Levi, guests can take full advantage of all the benefits of shopping at Target which includes five percent off their entire purchase even including Apple products when using their Target RedCard. Another form of convenience is pickup and delivery options, including Drive-Up and Order Pickup at store locations and same-day delivery with Shipt, a delivery system owned by Target.

Speech for News Conference 

Hello and Welcome, I am Kaitlyn Estopare, the executive of public relations at Target Corporation. Today I'll be discussing Target's future plans and how those plans will affect our customers. 

Since the opening of Target stores in 1902, the corporation has done everything in its power to continue to build, adapt and bring new things for its customers. We have recently released that Target will be investing around $4 billion annually over the course of the next several years in order to expand our retail platform among all stores.

Because of sales growth, Target will be able to open new stores, remodel many of its current ones, create larger-scale fulfillment services and strengthen its supply chain with current and new providers as well as providing guests with safe, easy, and convenient shopping experience. 

Target has plans to keep up with the fast pace of the industry and open 30-40 new stores each year which will help meet community needs in urban areas, college campuses, and suburban cities around the country. 

Target is striving to accelerate its store remodel program this year with 150 remodels in time for the holiday season, with additional plans to remodel around 200 stores a year beginning in 2022. The newly remodeled store design will focus on safety, with new contactless features, faster functioning same-day pick-up, and more space for social distancing.

Target is so excited to see what's next for the company and to share it with all of our customers. With all of the upcoming plans for expansion and revamping, we hope to give our Target shoppers a safe, fun, and easy environment to purchase all their needs from.
